elastic moduli (work in progress - 2010)
Elastic moduli, a nomadic project, proposes to participate to sound environments and explore acoustic properties of natural and urban spaces through ephemerous sonic activities.
This experiment tests and improvises with echoes and inherent sonorities of the encountered spaces. It can lead to a concert, an installation or sometimes only a research time, trying to build an instrument tuned for a specific place.
With the help of a mobile equipment,those listening spaces are activated by multiple speakers and by echoes from the sonic stimulus of Elastic Moduli.
Everything is battery powered to allow operation in areas without electricity.The first experiment of Elastic Moduli was in Nantes, during Archipelagos festival in may 2010.
